Company History
Founded by Manikandan Kaliyamoorthy
September 2024
Manikandan Kaliyamoorthy, the founder of GIIECON SONSEI, established the company in September 2024. With over 15 years of experience in various sectors, including power plants, renewable energy, petrochemicals, oil & gas, infrastructure and composite civil construction like high rise building, airport, metro stations, cement plant & equipment, and PEB buildings.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering, currently pursuing a doctorate in the same field. He successfully completed a major project at Neyveli Thermal Plant I and II focusing on "Operational improvement for efficient boiler performance". He also has qualifications in Management and Finance and technical skills in pressure pipeline, tank design, civil and structural ETABS.
Starting as a Quality Engineer, Manikandan transitioned to the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia and then to infrastructure projects in India with Eversendai, working on notable high-rise buildings and contributing to the Statue of Unity and Chennai Airport.
His project experience extends to the Qatar Bus Terminal and Petroleum & Petrochemical and a significant role at Samsung C&T for the Bangladesh Airport project. Most recently, he oversaw projects - PEB buildings at Metal Scope India Pvt. Ltd., completing the Ola Giga factory in record time.
